He grew up in Farnham, England, and graduated from the prestigious Royal College of Art in London, where he earned a master of fine arts. Upon completion of his degree, he joined the faculty at London University, where he was a lecturer and ceramics specialist. In 1980, Mr. Honey joined the faculty at Principia College in Elsah, Ill., as a professor of studio art with a focus on ceramics, sculpture, and three-dimensional design. He and his wife currently live in Barrington, Ill., where he continues to teach and produce hand-built stoneware. His recent work, some of which can be found here, is inspired by Utah landscapes.
