Welcome to the online gallery of internationally known teacher and artist Roger Honey, whose artwork uniquely captures the dramatic and yet subtle textural qualities of majestic rock formations.

In his most recent work, Mr. Honey's ceramic panels of various sizes visually describe these natural textures, sometimes appearing as aerial views or actual rock formations. Each panel is constructed of a variety of rolled clays, sands, stains, and fired clay particles carefully composed utilizing the artist's extensive knowledge of the ceramic process and visual research.

One of a kind ceremic vessels pictured on this website also have natural textures complimenting their overall composition. Click here to view additional work, including hand-built stoneware inspired by Utah landscapes.
